Elizabeth Logsdon is a senior lecturer in the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME). She is Associate Director of the BME Undergraduate Program and Director of BME Design Programs including oversight of the BME Design Studio, a facility that supports all design courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs.
Logsdon is an expert in the user-centered engineering design process. She leads the capstone undergraduate BME Design Team Program, a suite of eight courses that train student leaders and teams in user-centered design from identifying needs to validating solutions. She helps students leverage learnings from clinical observations into designing actionable products or services. She connects design resources, curriculum, and initiatives across the BME undergraduate program.
